About Me

I had a wonderful mentor in the small town I grew up in, who was a surgeon. Being around him, seeing what he could do to help his patients and experiencing how much he cared, showed me this was my calling. I knew I wanted to be a physician going into high school.

Care Philosophy

Dr. Fangman believes the goal of oncology is to give patients as much of their lives back as possible. He wants patients to be able to spend time with their families and support systems, not in medical offices and hospitals.

Dr. Fangman’s clinical interests include general medical oncology, hematologic malignancies and benign hematology.

Dr. Fangman is an amazing oncologist. First dr I have ever fully trusted I truly appreciate him and anyone fighting this battle and wants a great dr go to dr fangman he truly cares for his patients I’m still battling this battle but have faith now that I have dr fangman in my corner and the staff is incredibly caring and supportive for all the patients such a great practice thank you dr fangman and all staff you guys are amazing

I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer and Dr Fangman is my oncologist. During our initial meeting, I knew that he was brilliant and dedicated to his work. I appreciated that he was (is) young and knowledgeable of all the new “happenings” in cancer research. He explained thoroughly my diagnosis and was clear regarding his plan to help me get through this phase of my life. He assured me that I would not have to stop playing pickleball! Dr. Fangman’s plan for me has worked— after four months— he had beat back the cancer! I am happy that NKCH has partnered with Mayo and we have one of the finest young oncologist in our own backyard!

Dr. Fangman has been great. I was on "warp" speed to tackle my cancer and he got things moving. I am in remission. He has been very supportive of my thoughts on how to proceed as we monitor the continued care.
